DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONS

Patron Services Office. Ensure the best possible patron experience leading up to a performance. Process ticket sales, answer customer questions, and manage the ticketing for UMS; the School of Music, Theatre & Dance; and the Ann Arbor Summer Festival.

Artist Services. Provide onsite support to UMS Programming and Production team and guest artists while implementing performances, rehearsals, and some educational and community engagement events. Activities include, but are not limited to, transporting artists and equipment between various locations; assisting with backstage set up, hospitality, and takedown; and, on occasion aspects of advancing presentations.

Programming. Assist programming department staff on the planning, administration, and management of large-scale productions and performance event presentations. /p>

Education & Community Engagement. Plan and implement programming for K-12 students and educators, UM students and faculty, and the community. Research and write learning guides, and assist with artist visits, master classes, public talks, and receptions.

Marketing & Communications. Work in a communications department and execute integrated marketing plans that encompass digital, traditional, and event-based marketing and PR. Video/multimedia production and editing, motion graphics, and graphic design opportunities are also available.

Development. Assist with the coordination of special events and assist in the fulfillment of donor benefits for individual and corporate contributors to the University Musical Society.
